Two professors have commented on my last post, and both said it was okay to go out to breakfast with my class next week. That means it would be unprofessional of me NOT to go. Now how do you guys feel about promising an A to whomever picks up my tab?

I wouldn't be so keen on having them pay for the meal. There actually is a conflict of interest on that one.
But universally to give A's to your best class... I have no problem with that. One of my professors (whom I greatly admire) said that teaching is a big popularity contest and you better be in it to win.
Hmmm...I'm all for bribes, but I'm just an adjunct professor...
